Brainlab iPlan® BOLD MRI Mapping

Easier and Faster Functional Planning

BrainLAB provides a significant leap in neurosurgical planning by integrating BOLD MRI (Blood Oxygen Level Dependent functional MRI) data directly into the OR and image-guided surgery. This iPlan module allows anatomical images to be enhanced with functional maps showing perceptual, motoric and cognitive areas, leading to more refined surgical approaches and improved patient treatment.

BOLD MRI imaging can be fused with other imaging modalities and overlaid onto other anatomical or functional images. The display and selection of designated functional areas together with other objects like tumors is made easy with an intuitive user interface and advanced image processing.
